Amaravati: The application deadline for the AP EAMCET 2020 exams i.e. the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test has now been extended. The candidates can now apply until September 15, 2020, but will have to pay a late fee of Rs 10,000 via the official website at sche.ap.gov.in. 

Along with the AP EAMCET, the entrance exam registration dates have also been extended for five other Common Entrance Tests (CETs). These exams include Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET), Physical Education Common Entrance Test (AP PECET), Education Common Entrance Test (AP EdCET), Law Common Entrance Test (AP LawCET).

The statement that has been issued has clearly stated that the COVID-19 situation affection the application submissions and the conveners and APSCHE have received representation from candidates to allow them to submit the application with a late fee.

The EAMCET is going to take place from September 17 and September 25. AP PGCET is slated to be conducted on September 26, AP PGECET will go on from September 28 to 30, AP EDCET and AP LawCET are going to take place on October 1 and APPECET will be held between October 2 to 5.

Over 2.72 lakh candidates have registered for EAMCET, 64,884 candidates for AP ICET, and 37,167 have applied for AP ECET. Given the health concerns that are involved, the slots for exams have been increased so that a lesser number of students are a part of each slot.

The standard operating procedures such as sanitization after each session, use of gloves and other protective gear, thermal scanning, among others will be done. As has been assured by the Minister, all necessary precautions will be taken care of and have been put together.
