NEW DELHI: The Coronavirus pandemic has delayed the academic session for 2020-21 and while there were demands of making this a zero year, the government assured that exams and classes will take place this year after all. With the unlock phase now in full swing and relaxations being made, Delhi University has now announced that it will kickstart the new academic year from November 18. Meanwhile, the admission to the various undergraduate courses after the first cut-off list will start from October 12.

The university has made an announcement for all the UG and PG courses on Friday and as per the notice, the admission under the first cut-off list will take place from October 12 to 18 while the final date for payment is October 16. As for the second list, the admissions will take place from October 19 to 21 and the final date for payment is October 23. Similarly, the dates for the third cut-off list will be from October 26 to 28 and finally, the subsequent list will be from November 2 to 4, and the fifth cut-off list is from November 9 to 11.

Meanwhile, special admission will be conducted between November 18 to 20, and if in case there are seats available, merit lists will be announced accordingly.

For the courses that need entrance exams, the first merit list will be out between October 19-21 with the last date being October 23, October 26 to 28 for the second merit list, and November 2 to 4 for the third merit list. . As for the first spot admissions are concerned, the registration portal will open on November 10.

The dates for the PG courses are going to be as the following:

First merit list: October 26 to 28

Second merit list: November 2 to 4

Third merit list: November 9 to 11
