Chandigarh: There have been various updates that keep coming in regarding the ongoing admission process to various universities in both undergraduate as well as post-graduate courses. And now, an online portal has been launched by the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. This will enable candidates to take admission to self-finance and government-aided colleges in UG courses for the new academic session. The coronavirus pandemic has led to the delay, and since the numbers are rather staggering, this will enable colleges to conduct the entire process online while students can remain at home.

In addition, a WhatsApp chatbot ‘Apka Mitra’ has also been launched for any queries regarding the same, the number for which is 7419444449.

Through this bot, students can lay out their inquiries regarding admissions as well as scholarships. Meanwhile, a website for the Higher Education Department has also been set up along with online journals published to promote research in the state.

Meanwhile, the registration as well as the prospectus fees for the students has also been waived off and a grievance redressal number has been set up. Students can call on 18001373735. Provisions for students with disabilities have also been set up and they can get assistance by giving a missed call on the number mentioned above i.e. 7419444449.

At the inaugural address, Khattar spoke about the idea behind facilitating the online form filling procedure amid the pandemic and also to ensure adequate skills, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has also opened up.

Education Minister Kanwar Pal went on to speak about the process and said that this will enable transparency while also opening a new model of Sanskriti schools, which adds another feature to the cap of the Haryana government.
