New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has caused various glitches in the way education is being received. While the universities as well as the government have been trying to make necessary adjustments, there are little to no options available but to kickstart new academic sessions after all the delays. And so, there continue to be regular extensions and alterations in the rules and regulations for admissions, applications as well as exam dates for various universities.

And now, as it turns out, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has decided to provide an extension to the aspirants once again. This time, the deadline has been extended to September 15, 2020, for those looking at applications as well as re-registration for the month of July 2020. The aspirants can go to the official website at ignou.ac.in in order to fill the forms out. Earlier the last date to apply was August 31, however, students now have received an extension and can apply until later.

IGNOU offers various programmes across all degrees including the likes of undergraduate, postgraduate, PG certificate, diploma, certificate, and other awareness/appreciation level programs. Students who might be having a difficult time keeping up can now heave a sigh of relief as the extension is sure to come in handy.

Head to the official website as already mentioned earlier and from the homepage, locate the registration link from the recent updates. Have a look at the instructions carefully and then click on the hyperlink that says ‘proceed for re-registration.’ Having done that, you might have to click on ‘new registration’ if you are doing it for the first time, and fill the required details. Once done, head back and login with the credentials, fill the information asked, and pay the fees. Voila! Make the submission and you’re done!

Apart from the applications, the exam dates for the final year students have also been delayed and will now be taking place from September 17, 2020, onwards! The date sheet and other details, however, are yet to be out.
