Bengaluru: The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) took place earlier on July 30 and 31 following the necessary rules and regulations, and while the results were due to be announced today, they have now been postponed. As has been announced, the results for the KCET exams will now be coming out on Friday, August 21.

This year saw over 1.95 lakh students write the exams despite the Coronavirus situation in the country, and are now awaiting their results. The same can be checked on the official websites at kea.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in. While the exams were held in offline mode, as has been announced by the Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan, the counseling process will be taken forward online.

In addition, it has also been mentioned by the minister that there will be two rounds of counselling along with another extended counselling and that no additional round of counselling will be held while fees, as well as the seat-matrix ration, is going to be as it was in the last year.

The results are going to be out at around 1 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020, and students have to simply head to the website, go to the link that says CET-2020, and enter the required details. Following that, the result will be available for download on the screen and students can print it out.

Meanwhile, out of the students who had registered for the exams this year, over 1.75 lakh students, around 90.23% of the total number of enrolled students wrote the physics paper while over 90.10 percent of the students registered wrote the Chemistry papers. Similarly, as far as the biology and mathematics papers are concerned, 79.90 percent and 91.92 percent of those registered wrote the exams.
