Mumbai: The final year exams for 2020 have been rolling out eventually and while there have been regular updates around the same, various universities have been working on the schedule. And now, it looks like the Mumbai University final year exam updates are dropping in one after the other with new information.

As has been informed already, the exams will be taking place from October 1 to October 17, 2020, and these will be held online. The Higher Education Minister of the state, Uday Samant went on to inform via his Twitter account that the students are supposed to given a question bank from their universities in order to prepare for the same. He also went on to inform how this decision has been taken post a discussion with the Vice-Chancellor.

This is a result of the decision from the Supreme Court where it declared that exams have to be mandatorily conducted and hence, this decision has been taken in line with the University Grants Commission’s guidelines. Meanwhile, those students who are unable to write the MCQ papers that will be conducted online, will get to write them offline later.

Meanwhile, the practical exams are going to be conducted from September 15 and go on until September 25. Meanwhile, there will be 2.2 lakh students will be writing the exams from Mumbai University this year and there are over 158 exams to write for. These exams will happen across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Ratnagiri, Thane, and Raigad.

A spokesperson also went on to reveal that there will not be any re-evaluation for these exams and results will be out soon while colleges are also supposed to set up helpline numbers. The question bank will be that of 250 MCQs and based on them, the final paper will be set.
