The current academic year has been a huge mess given the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. However, things are being worked out upon and the latest update comes from the National Board of Examinations, NBE regarding the NEET PG Exam 2021. NBE has released the exam dates for NEET PG along with exams as well. The date for NEET PG Exam has been announced as January 10, 2021 across various cities in the country. Candidates can check the notice at natboard.edu.in.

Among other announcements, the dates for FMGE Dec 2020 session, DNB PDCET 2021 admission session, and NEET MDS Exam have also been announced and the exams will be conducted via CBT i.e. a computer based test.

The NEET PG exams take place every year for the students for Master of Surgery, Doctor of Medicine, PG Diploma seats available across 6000 plus institutions. There are over 48000 seats that are open for NEET PG admissions across various colleges in the country.

NEET MDS enables to fill out the available 6,501 seats — 50% All India Quota (AIQ) and 50% state quota in those institutes that are a part of the process while FMGE takes place twice every year in June and December. Those allow candidates to register (provisionally or permanently) with MCI (Medical Council of India) or other State Medical Council to be able to practice the profession in the country.

Given the Coronavirus pandemic, the minimum percentile for PG admissions has been reduced by the government upto 50%. This was done when there were over 3000 seats left vacant even after two counselling sessions. The percent for general category minimum percentile was reduced to 30% instead of 50 while that for SC, ST, and OBC candidates was cut down from 20 to 40. Meanwhile, the general category Divyang students’ minimum percentile was 25 percentile in the exams.
