New Delhi: For the longest time now, there have been constant petitions for and against the postponing of NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 exams. While the Supreme Court has already ruled out that it will be taking the exams as per the scheduled dates given that their careers might be in jeopardy. However, it looks like there is more than just that as students as well as parents are not very convinced about going forward with the exams at this juncture.

It has already been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that the exams will be held as per schedule i.e. the dates are September 1 to 6 for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) while the date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) is that of September 13. And now, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has joined those appealing for the postponing of exams as he has taken to Twitter.

He went on to request the Government of India to listen to what the students have in their minds and in fact, postpone the exams. Meanwhile, Delhi’s Education Minister, Manish Sisodia too, had earlier urged the Centre to cancel the exams and go ahead with an alternate plan of action for this year only. However, chances of either happening, seem to be grim.

Rahul, in his tweet, wrote how lakhs of students are trying to say something to the government about the JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams, and for them, the government must find a viable solution, for their best interest. He also went on to write, “GOI must listen to the #StudentsKeMannKiBaat.”

The decision from the SC came out on August 17, and ever since, there seems to be quite the mess regarding these two entrance exams.
