Bengaluru: The final year exams continue to be a concern for various students. While announcements have been made and directions have been given for the final year exams, changes continue to happen in the schedule. As has been issued, the Bangalore University has postponed the final year undergraduate. The exams were due to be held on September 25 and 28, 2020, however, they will now take place on October 4 and 6, instead. The exam that was due before, will take place as per the time.

The announcement came as a notice on the official website. It was after the decision from the apex court that the dates for the final exams were announced since other criteria were not provided for and hence, exams were made compulsory. A faculty member from a college had questioned how can exams be conducted on a Sunday when it is the day off for the teachers, while another complained that they must be given a compensation off day instead.

The date sheet that has been released includes a lot of courses including those like PG Arts, Education, Science, among others along with MCA, B.E/B. Tech and a few other programs.

Along with the dates, there have been instructions issued by the affiliated colleges that will be the centres for exams and they have been asked to ensure there are enough precautions along with a supply of sanitizers, hand wash, face shields and PPE kits.

Meanwhile, the University will also be conducting special exams for the students who are unable to write the exams that are being conducted right now. This will allow those students who returned home in lieu of the pandemic to appear the final exams later as the special exams will enable them some time.
