New Delhi: Students have been waiting for an update regarding the compartment and improvement exams from the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE ). It has now been announced that the exams for students in classes 10 and 12 will be taking place from October 6 to 9, as told by the board.

Meanwhile, the results are going to be announced on October 17. Among instructions that have been laid out by CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon, he added that everyone must avoid overcrowding and ensure they carry masks as well as sanitizers along with them. He also made it clear that everyone must read the centre ahead of time in order to ensure safety.

The results for students in classes 10 and 12 were announced by the board in July itself, however, given the circumstances, there was no merit list issued. A pass percentage of 99.34 percent was recorded for students in class 10, which was an increase from last year, for class 10 exams, a pass percentage of 96.84 percent was recorded for those in class 12. Meanwhile, various exams were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown, which thereby lead to students being marked on the basis of assessments.

Those exams that could not be conducted happened later in July, and soon after, the results were announced. However, students did have the provision to not have to write the pending exams and be marked on the basis of their pre-board results instead, but they were eventually canceled.
