Hyderabad: The way we perceive education has been ever-changing and evolving. While there have been constant efforts from everyone with leadership skills to take education in India to greater heights, an effort from Mahindra Group is one to be lauded.

Today, the Mahindra Group launched the Mahindra University (MU), and it will focus on multiple disciplines across all degrees, including UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses. The university is going to be set up in Hyderabad and they have an interesting road map ahead.

This newly setup university is also going to encompass within itself, the Ecole Centrale School of Engineering that was set up in 2014. With an aim to develop leaders with multiple skills and work on innovation, it aims to produce students who are ethical and empathetic.

Talk about the future of the university, it intends to also encompass on its way ahead, a School of Management (2012-2022), Indira Mahindra School of Education (2021-22), School of Law (2021-22), School of Design (2023-24), and School of Media & Liberal Arts (2022-23).

Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, and Chancellor, Mahindra University spoke about this initiative of his and highlighted how it is high-quality education that has the power to transform people and the nation. He added how with MU, they intend to provide an education system that is well balanced and also takes into account technology while imparting Liberal Arts, thereby providing a more holistic approach to view the world for the leaders that the country will see. 

Prof Yajulu Medury, Vice-Chancellor, Mahindra University, also spoke about their plan ahead and highlighted the aspect of holistic learning by providing various streams including Design, Management, Media, and others.

Further, honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi also rooted in this initiative by Anand Mahindra, as was read in a letter he shared on his social media.
