NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the most awaited CBSE 12th Class results today. While the results are out, there have been complaints regarding the website, and students have been requested to check it after a while.

Over 12 lakh students have appeared for the CBSE class 12 exams this year across various streams and the results are now out. Over 10.59 lakh students have managed to clear the exam, making the overall pass percentage for this year better. While it was 83.40% last year, it is 88.78% this year. Meanwhile, the pass percentage for girls this year is a strong 92.15% while that for boys is 86.19% and for transgenders, it is 66.67%.

While logging onto the website is simple and easy, if you want to login on Digilocker, you have to use the registered mobile number, the OTP, and the last 6 digits of your roll number as the security pin. Meanwhile, the required certificates are also available on Digilocker.

However, while the CBSE class 12 results are not available on the official website due to a technical glitch, they are available with the schools and universities. The official twitter handle of CBSE tweeted sometimes back:

The results for class 12 CBSE Results 2020 have been calculated on the basis of average marks obtained since students could not appear for all subjects due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who have written more than 3 exams have been marked for the remaining subjects on the basis of the average marks of best of 3. While those who have written 3 exams will be awarded marks for the remaining subject on the basis of the average marks of best of 2.

However, students who could appear for only 1 or 2 subjects have been marked on the basis of those subjects as well as marks in other internal submissions and practical projects.

Meanwhile, given the results have been announced today and there might be doubts, the post result tele counselling has begun and will remain available until July 27. Anyone with questions regarding the CBSE class 10 and 12 results can get in touch through a call, IVRD and textual counseling. The timing for the facilities is between 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

  • For the students who couldn’t make it, CBSE has used the term ‘Essential repeat’ instead of Fail
  • The dates for the compartment and optional exams will be announced in due course
  • About 87651 students (7.35%) are in the Compartment list
  • Due to the COVID-19 situation, there will be no merit list this year
  • Trivandrum tops the region-wise pass percentage list while Bengaluru and Chennai follow at the second and third spots respectively. Patna, however, has recorded the lowest overall passing percentage that is stood at 74.57%.
