New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has brought about a lot of barriers that students have to overcome in order to write their exams or proceed with the admission process in schools and colleges. While the Universities have been ensuring that they make the process as seamless as possible and a lot of extensions have also come in and hence, the Delhi University too, has complied.

DU, on Saturday, took the decision of extending the dates for admission forms until July 31 in light of the ongoing situation in the country. This is not the first extension as it had moved the last date from July 4 to July 18 earlier. The process of registrations had kickstarted on June 20 and was late due to the virus. With the results now declared, a little extension has come as a welcome move.

Until last night (Saturday, 9pm), over 4 lakh students had already registered for undergraduate courses on the portal while almost 3 lakh students also paid the fees. As far as other degrees are concerned, around 1.6 lakh students have registered for PG courses while over 30,000 students have also registered for M.Phil and Ph.D courses.

In order to register themselves, students will have to check the official website of University of Delhi du.ac.in. Depending on the programme they are opting for, candidates will have to fill the form using that particular link. For undergraduate programmes, students can visit ug.du.ac.in, for PG programmes, they can go to pgadmission.du.ac.in and for Ph.D programmes, they can go to phdadmission.du.ac.in.

Meanwhile, while registrations, the students will not be able to make changes to certain sections in the form. However, they can update/replace documents in the form and many other sections that are allowed to be changed in it.
