As per the notice, students can now fill the June 2020 examination forms online without any late fee being charged until the stipulated date and can make their assignment submissions up until the extended date (online or at the physical study centres). Finally, any other reports or similar components will also be accepted until the aforementioned extended date via the online software link at the University homepage (www.ignou.ac.in) or offline, in person.

Now this is sure a welcome move from the university, given that the pandemic has created a lot of panic already.

Meanwhile, the students of IGNOU were also in the news recently as they have demanded the promotion of intermediate students, just like many other universities. In fact, IGNOU has already decided to defer the term-end examinations, however, there is no new date out just yet.

In addition, as was told by the regional director of IGNOU at Nagpur, P Sivasawroop, the University has to take into account the situation across the country given that IGNOU students are spread all over. He also went on to inform how a committee has been formed at the headquarters and that a decision regarding their concerns will be taken soon.
