Bengaluru: The final year exams were a cause of concern for the longest time now and while there have been regular updates from the universities, a decision regarding the same has now been taken by the Supreme Court. While on one hand, the final year exams continue to be a matter of concern for the students, on the other, Universities too, have been making necessary alterations as well as preparations for conducting necessary exams.

As it turns out, the final year exams for Karnataka State Law University, KSLU has now been postponed and while they were originally supposed to be held in September, will now be taking place in October this year instead. The said decision has been taken after consulting the Law Minister of the State, J C MadhuSwamy.

While the said exams have been canceled, the university has also decided to postpone the intermediate exams. These exams were due to be held on October 5, 2020. The final year exams in October, meanwhile, will be online as per directions from the Bar Council of India. The decision came following the request from Congress leader, and former CM of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, to withdraw the exam notification that has been sent regarding the semesters in lieu of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the university is all set to kickstart with the regular online classes from September 1, so as to ensure that the time that has been lost due to the lockdown can be covered up. In fact, the exams for the various semesters can only be conducted once the classes have taken place for a regular period of time that is between 45 days to two months.

As far as the promotions are concerned, the students were given a pass to the next semester based on the performance in the internals that took place in March this year. None the less, if and when the exams are conducted by the University, they will have to write the exams.
