Nasik: Exams across the country have been an increasing concern, especially because there have been multiple delays now, and yet, the decision from most of the universities doesn’t seem to be a concrete one. None the less, Education Ministers and various Universities have been making an attempt to make these tough times go a little easy on students, however, there is often very little to do.

And now, as per the latest update, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has been asked to defer their exams for the medical courses by the Maharashtra Medical Education Minister, Amit Deshmukh. Just like most of the decisions that are being taken and suggestions that are being made, this too is in light of the ongoing pandemic situation in the country.

MUHS, based in Nashik, had made an announcement regarding their examinations in August 2020, and hence, this urge from the minister. As per the statement that has been issued by him, he has urged MUHS vice-chancellor Deelip Mhaisekar to delay the exams, considering how it does not take into account the interest of students.

In addition, Deshmukh has also asked the University to allow both first, as well as second year students to go ahead to their next year while all other exams, including the non-certificate tests be postponed until further announcement is made. Also, he stated that the internships for the final year students can only kickstart post the pandemic is contained.

Also, Deshmukh spoke about the exams for post-graduate students can be held since they are within the campus while the entrance exams for the courses are also going to be held on September 15, as of now.

MUHS is one of the finest and oldest Universities and it has courses including those in Unani, allopathy, nursing, homeopathy, dental, and Ayurveda streams.
