New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has caused a direct impact on multiple walks of life and education is something that has had to undergo multiple changes for multiple reasons. And now, as has been announced by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on July 31, the PCS 2019 mains as well as the RO 2019 mains exam dates have been changed and will now be taking place at a later time.

While the UPPSC PCS 2019 mains exam has been postponed to September 22, the UPPSC RO/RFO 2019 mains exam is now due on October 15. This decision stems from the fact that the state is currently observing weekly lockdowns, as has been ordered and these exams were due. The original date for RPO/RO 2019 mains exams was September 19 while the UPPSC PCS mains exams were to be held on August 25, 2020.

This decision is one in the right direction for more than just one reason and hence, it was the only option that could have been availed. While the news dates have been announced by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, a withdrawal link for UPPSC PCS 2020 application has also been issued, the last date for which is going to be August 10, 2020.
