New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has affected the way exams are to be conducted and results are announced, or for that matter, even how classes are conducted. Hence, it only makes sense to run a set of mock tests before conducting an online exam at huge levels.

And now, the mock test for the first phase of tests have been released by the University of Delhi for students across UG and PG courses. This is in light of the soon to happen online Open Book Exam (OBE) which will be conducted from August 10 to August 31. The idea behind the mock tests is to enable the students to get a rough idea about what will the day of exams look like and how to go about everything else during the process.

The official website for Delhi University – du.ac.in has the link and students can have a look at it themselves to get an idea. Starting from today (July 27), there will be three mock tests and they have three time slots ranging from morning 7.30 to 10.30 am as well as afternoon timings of 11.30 am to 2.30 pm and 3.30 to 6.30 pm.

Based on what programmes do the students belong to, the mock tests will be held during the course of 3 days and depending on the slot that they have been allotted, they will have to take the mock tests.

The steps for the mock tests are standard and the students will have to log in on the website using their roll number and password and if they don’t have them, they can register themselves first under the tab of ‘new registration’ and go ahead with the login procedure by filling out the details.

Meanwhile, the first phase will end on July 29 and later on, the second phase of mock tests will be held from August 2. Given the pandemic, everything is being processed online, however, these are just measures that are being taken to ensure that the day of exams is smooth.

The dates for the OBE have been postponed not once but twice as they were originally supposed to be held on July 1 and then moved to July 10. However, it was later rescheduled to take the exams later in August and after multiple changes, August 10-31 happened to be the final dates.
