New Delhi: The fate of final year students continues to hang in between as there is little known about the final decision of the Universities. And well, it looks like Delhi University is now gearing up for online open-book exams (OBE) as has been told to the Delhi High Court. This is what seems to be the latest update about the final year exams as of July 13.

According to what is being said, the exams for final year students for all courses, including SOL (School of Open Learning) and NCWEB (Non-Collegiate Women Education Board) will commence on August 17 and conclude by September 8.

In addition, it has also been revealed that students who will not be able to attend the exams on the aforementioned date, there will be another phase of exams in order to give students a second chance. As per DU’s affidavit, these examinations will be held two weeks after the completion of the first phase of exams and can be online/offline/blended mechanism.

Delhi University Mock Tests

The affidavit also mentions about mock tests, which will be held in two phases in order to help the students familiarize with the process of OBE. While there are to be three sessions of mock tests per day, the tests that happened earlier this month did not go down very well due to technical glitches thereby adding to the woes of the students. While the first phase of mock tests are to commence from July 31 and end on August 4, the second phase will go on from August 8-12.

The Form Filling Schedule

Meanwhile, the form filling for the open book exams will begin again from July 21 and will go on until July 25. This has been done in order to allow those students from filling the forms who couldn’t do it earlier.

The Date of Declaration of Result

About the results, the affidavit, as submitted by DU also mentions that while they will try to speed things up, they expect to start declaring results by the first week of October and wrap it up by November 2020, latest.
