New Delhi: The reopening of schools and other educational institutions has now been a rather ling impending question. And now, as it turns out, the government is chalking things out to begin the reopening of schools and other institutions in a phased manner spanning September 1 to November 14 and the rules are awaited by the end of this month as a part of the final unlock guidelines.

For starters, students of classes 10 and 12 will be attending school for the first 15 days and if there are over four sections in class 10, they will be alternated and spread across particular dates. Meanwhile, the school hours will be restricted to only 5 to 6 hours per day and only 2-3 hours will need the students to be physically present. In addition, the reports suggest that the schools are likely to opt for 3-hour shifts, one between 8 am to 11 am and the other between 12 pm to 3 pm. Meanwhile, the break will be utilized for sanitization while the teaching staff will also operate at 33 percent.

As has been reported, the details are being worked out right now with the concerned COVID-19 management as well as the secretaries associated with the various Ministries. The guidelines are likely to be out on August 31, and until then, the schools and colleges are all shit, while reports also have it that the final decision to reopen the institutes will be left upon the states. Officials have also added how states with lower cases are also keen on reopening institutions and bring back students.

While the decisions are currently underway, reports also have it that the government is currently focusing on classes 10 to 12 coming back to school while the attendances for 6-9 standard students will be restricted. An official went on to say how they have taken inspiration from the paths followed by countries like Switzerland to bring back children to school while also ensuring safety.
