New Delhi: A new circular has been issued by the Student Evaluation Division (SED) of the esteemed Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) regarding the Term End Examination (TEE) 2020. The circular has been issued with regards to its earlier notice regarding the dates and other specifications about exams that will be held in September 2020 as well as December 2020 post the guidelines from University Grants Commission. The said notice was issued on July 22, 2020, and this notice is clarification regarding everything stated earlier.

The notice clearly states how the ODL system does not mention passing in all subjects or having successfully met with the criteria for going ahead with admissions as the students in intermediate year/semesters are to fill the forms prior to their exams. It also went on to state how it is due to this provision that despite no exams in June, students have been admitted to the next year/semester for the July 2020 session.

Meanwhile, the circular also reinstates how students have the flexibility to appear for their Term End exams for the courses they are a part of at their own convenience, however, it must be within the maximum period of the programme. In addition, this is also applicable for the students writing their final year/semester exams in September 2020 given that they have ensured filling the exam forms for the said course/subject and are eligible for the same.

Finally, it also mentions the details about the December 2020 exams and how those writing the exams then will be eligible to appear for those subjects for which they registered for the June 2020 exams, and the exams for other subjects will be scheduled for the June session the following year.
