New Delhi: The final year exams for students across all universities have been a matter of concern and now, there seems to be an update regarding the Term End Examinations 2020 for Indira Gandhi National Open University Students.

As per a letter from the Minister of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the guidelines laid out by the University Grants Commission (UGC) that came in July and April respectively, a date for the IGNOU TEE 2020 have now been announced by its Student Evaluation Division (SED).

The notice suggests that the exams will kickstart from the first week of September for all the final year students across all courses including Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree, PG-Diploma as well as other certificate programs given that the students fulfill all the norms laid out by the University regarding the same. However, the Term End Examinations for others have been postponed to December 2020 in light of the current pandemic situation,

The details regarding the criteria for writing the exams have been mentioned in the notice and the last date for filing the forms for TEE 2020 has been dated July 31, 2020. Other relevant information regarding practical examinations (if and when necessary) will be informed by the Regional Centres.

In addition, the notice also mentions the validity of admission across various courses as per their registration. However, if any student is unable to appear for the TEE 2020 exams because of COVID 19, they will be given an extension on their registration (if needed) and allowed to write their paper in December 2020.

  1. Unsatisfactory with the decision for intermediate year students. Should have cancelled the exam instead of postponing like other universities did for non final year students. Should have provided marks based on assignments. How will one appear in exam during December who have selected for the exam center at out of station bat different states who is now willing to change the exam center to their suitable or native place? If we continue to prepare for second year exams how will we prepare for final year that will be held in June 2021?

  2. Sir,
Better you can declare all pass accordingly assignments.I submitted the assignment for June 2020 as per IGNOU guidelines, but I didn’t get any confirmed intimation from the concerned department about its accepted or not. As for as we all struggling with COVID., consider the student’s situation and come for a brightful conclusions.

  3. Request the university to give a clear information to the students.
I am supposed to appear for the TEE of second year degree exam in june 2020.
Now, according to the new notification from the university, it seems that i have to write the same exam in December and the 3rd year exam in june 2021.
Like Mr. Rishab pointed out, it will be difficult for we students to prepare and write the papers in such a short time.
Kindly take some decision at the earliest at let the students know the same.

  4. It’s really an unsatisfactory decision taken by the govt…inspite or postponing the exams, it could have declared all pass through the assignments remarks for the non final year students so that we could prepare ourselves for the finals …Totally unsatisfactory
