Bargawan: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has declared the result for Science, Commerce & Arts students of class 12th today, at 1 pm. The board result will be declared online on their official website – jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac/ and jacresults.com.

All the students should keep their roll numbers ready before checking their results. The official announcement of declaring the results was made today by the JAC officials. They also informed that the reason for delaying the result was the ongoing pandemic.

According to the estimates shared by JAC, every year around 1 lakh students appear for a science exam and around 35,000 students appear for commerce exams. In the year 2020, a total of 2.8 lakh students have appeared for class 12th exams. The exams were conducted by JAC for Science, Commerce & Arts stream in the month of February.

The duration of the exam was from February 11 to February 28. Recently, JAC also declared class 10th results as well. The passing percentage for boys in the 10th standard was 75.88% and the passing percentage for girls in the 10th standard was 74.25%.

Steps to check the result from the official website

  • Visit the official website – jac.jharkhand.gov.in or jacresults.com
  • Look for the link of the result basis your stream – Science/ Commerce/ Arts
  • Once you click on the same, you will be redirected to a new page where you will have to enter your details
  • Keep your roll number ready and enter it now along with other details asked for
  • Check all the details that are mentioned in your admit and click on the submit button
  • You will now be able to see your JAC 12th Result 2020 on the screen
  • You should download the scorecard and also take a print out of the same to use in the future

In case the website does not open because of heavy traffic, the students can always check their result through SMS.

Alternative method to check Result: Through SMS

  • On your phone, type “RESULT (space) JAC12 (space) your roll code (space) your roll number
  • Send this text to 56263 and you will receive your result on your phone number itself.
  • Save the SMS for future reference

All the students should make a note that the result generated online is provisional in nature and the students will have to contact their schools for the original mark sheets. In order to clear the JAC exam, a student needs to secure at least 33% marks. And subject – wise, a student should score 23 out of 70 and 33 out of 100 to pass the exam.
