Bengaluru: The results for KSEEB Karnataka board PUC 2 are out and they can be checked on either of these two websites: karresults.nic.in. and pue.kar.nic. While these exams did witness a backlash due to the COVID-19 situation in the country and across the world, the remaining exams took place last month while ensuring the social distancing rules are followed. It was the English exam that had to be taken amid the Coronavirus crisis, however, it was carried out efficiently.

Over 5.95 lakh students appeared for the Karnataka Board PUC II exams this year. While the overall pass percentage for this year is 69.20%, the pass percentage for individual streams is as follows: 76.20% for science, 41.27% for Arts, and 65.52% for commerce. Meanwhile, the pass percentage for female students is 68.73% while that for male students is 54.73%.

Talking about the district wise pass percentage, Udupi tops with a pass percentage of 90.71% followed by Dakshin Karnataka and Kodagu at the second place.

Interestingly, the pass percentage for the PUC II exams this year has witnessed an increase by a substantial amount as it was 61.73% last year. A total of 91,025 students will be repeating their year this year. 

S Suresh Kumar, Education Minister, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to team PUC for being able to carry out successful examinations despite the ongoing situation. Karnataka had about 70 evaluation centres for teachers to check out the student copies.

The results for PUC I were declared back in May with over 6 lakh candidates appearing for the exams.
