New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic has brought about rather unpredictable problems and while the country is dealing with it the best way they can, some sectors have come to a total standstill. And well, education seems to be one of the most problematic issue right now, including the exams for final year students as well as new academic sessions for both, schools and colleges. Schools and colleges have been shut for about 4 months now and hence, this conversation is now inevitable.

And while there has been no clarity on when are schools likely to reopen, the Ministry of Human Resource Development is now moving ahead in a direction that kickstarts from seeking suggestions as to how to go about the process. As has been informed, parents have been asked about inputs regarding the plausible opening month for schools and have to select between next month, September, or October 2020.

Well, while online classes have commenced for most and thing have been set in motion, this is an equally welcome move by the MHRD. Meanwhile, the Education secretaries of all the UTs have also been asked to submit the suggestions received from parents, by Monday.

While the month for reopening the schools is something that is the centre of attention right now, the MHRD has also posed suggestions from parents regarding the expected functioning of schools when they open and in fact, they are free to provide any kind of remarks and feedback which might be a cause of concern for them.

Once the education secretaries have received the feedback from parents, they are supposed to send them in to the MHRD via email.

As can be recalled, back when the lockdown was imposed and schools and colleges were shit, Delhi Education Minister, Manish Sisodia had requested suggestions from all the concerned parties as far as the guidelines regarding the opening of schools are concerned.
