New Delhi: The various entrance exams for 2020 have been under the radar for finalizing the dates and the continuous postponements. While the Coronavirus pandemic has caused a great deal of delay already, and now, the main concern of the students as well as parents have been the JEE Main 2020 as well as the NEET 2020 exams. While the Supreme Court had already directed that the exams will be held as per the schedule and cannot be delayed further, there still seemed to be a lot of confusion as petitions and pleas continue to do the rounds.

And now, the National Testing Agency, through a release, has confirmed that the exams are happening as per the schedule, and through the release, it also affirmed that the necessary efforts have been taken to ensure that the exams are seamless. In addition, there have also been provisions for the candidates to change the exam centres for up to about 5 times and over 661911 aspirants took upon it.

The JEE Main exams are due to be held from September 1 to 6 and admit cards are available for download on the official website. The release from NTA stated that 649223 candidates have already downloaded the admit cards, while also ensuring how 99.07% of candidates have been provided with a centre of their choice. In addition, the NTA is also working out a way to consider the request of change of centres for the 142 candidates, who submitted it recently. 

As far as the NEET 2020 exams are concerned, over 15,97,433 candidates have registered themselves and have been given the centres as well as accommodations of their choice, providing over 99.87% with the exam centres of their first choice. The admit cards are to be out soon.

Meanwhile, as needed, there have been arrangements made and precautions ensured as needed and also following the guidelines that have been suggested by the MHRD. Instructions to the candidates have already been provided along with an ‘Advisory for Candidates regarding COVID-19’ for the JEE students. As far as the NEET candidates are concerned, they will be provided with them too once they download the admit cards.
