Bhubaneswar: Class 12 results for across various states continue to come in and while some students have been waiting for the longest times, the wait for science students from Odisha is over. The class 12 science results 2020 were announced by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. Much like all the results, they are available on the official website at orissaresults.nic.in and students just need their registration numbers as well as roll numbers to check in.
The students in Odisha wrote their 12th board exams between March 3 to 21, 2020, however, the ones that were to take place between March 23 to 28, 2020, were eventually canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. Meanwhile, the evaluation process started as late as June 2020, and hence, the delay in the results.
Over 3 lakh students have written their exams for science this year and the overall pass percentage recorded is a decent 70.21%, which is slightly lesser than last year’s percentage. 25,000 plus students have managed to get the 1st division in their science exams this year.
With a pass percentage of 86.51%, Nayagarh district tops the list as far as the highest pass percentage in a district is concerned, while Jharsuguda district is the lowest, with a pass percentage of 40.71%. In addition, the government, in light of the Mukhyamantri Medhabruti Puraskar Yojana, will be awarding a scholarship worth Rs 5,000 to the top 100 students.
Meanwhile, the class 12 results for commerce and arts students is due on August 15, 2020. Over 2 lakh students have written the class 12 exams for arts while over 25,000 students wrote the exams for commerce this year.
