New Delhi: Conducting exams amid the ongoing pandemic is indeed quite a task and while many might be rather apprehensive about them, there seem to be little to no available options after NEET and the JEE Main 2020 exams have been given a nod by the Supreme Court. As it turns out, a plea regarding the postponement of the MHT CET 2020 exams was also due to be heard.

And now, the apex court has made its decision and in fact, has dismissed the plea regarding the same. This decision of the court was justified on the basis of its decision to allow JEE and NEET 2020 exams to take place. Hence, the order from the court said that if they have allowed those exams, it will be questionable to not conduct exams in one state. The court also said that the orders must have been checked earlier.

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test also called the CET is conducted in order to provide admission to various UG and PG professional courses. Earlier, these exams were already postponed by Uday Samant, in light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation. Also, given that Maharashtra happens to be one of the worst hit states due to the virus, and hence, given the scenario, it is rather difficult to conduct exams after all. The exam will see over 5 lakh students appear for the exam, and due to the scale of the same, the minister expressed his concern regarding the exams, and hence, they were postponed in the first place.

While the difficulties prevail, the CET commissioner has also been trying to plan an effective method to conduct the exams at taluka and divisional level. Earlier scheduled for April, the exams were postponed on multiple occasions. However, there is no final date for the exam just yet.
