Chennai: TN Class 12 results have been announced by the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu today via a press conference. Students who have appeared the exam this year can avail of the results on the official website: www.tnresults.nic.in. In order to check the results, students will need to be ready with their roll numbers and registration numbers. The results were announced early in the morning at 9:30 am on the website today.

A whopping number of 7,99,717 lakh students appeared for the TN Class 12 exams in 2020 and with a pass percentage of 92.34%, a total of 7,20,209 students have passed this year. The pass percentage this year has witnessed a slight increase as opposed to last year, as it was 91.3% last year.

Moving on, as far as the overall pass percentage for girls and boys are concerned, the girls lead the way with a pass percentage of 94.8% while the boys are behind by 5.39%. The pass percentage for boys is 89.41% this year.

As far as the subject wise pass percentages are concerned, Computer science tops the list with 99.51% followed by Maths and Chemistry at the next two spots while Zoology is the lowest with 92.97%. None the less, it is crystal clear that the students have outperformed themselves in the class 12 2020 exams. Among districts, Tiruppur has recorded the highest pass percentage with 97.12% followed by Erode and Coimbatore at 96.99% and 96.39% respectively.

In addition, for students who aren’t happy or want to re-check their papers, they can apply for copy-scripts, re-evaluation and re-totalling from their respective schools. For dates about the same, the students are advised to keep a check on the TN DGE website.

TN has declared the results for both class 12 and class 11 students and they can check it on the website as has been declared by the board.

Meanwhile, the TN government had to cancel Class 10 board exams that were due from June 15 because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The students were marked on the basis of their previous exams and attendance. Meanwhile, students from classes 1-9 were almost promoted due to the ongoing situation in the country.
