Chennai:  The exams were all postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and consequently, the results were also delayed. While student continue to wait on the updates regarding admission processes, entrance exams, etc, the results for class 11 students have been announced by DGE, Tamil Nadu and students can avail them on the website: tnresults.nic.in. Students will need to enter their DOB as well as the roll numbers in order to access the results online, for across all the streams.

This year, over 8 lakh students wrote their class 12 exams and the overall pass percentage recorded is that of 96.04%, which is over a percent increase from last year’s 95.0%. While the number of girls was higher in number, they also managed to have a higher overall pass percentage of 97.49% while that for boys is 94.38% this year.

While the arrears results for class 11 were already declared earlier this month, the Class 12 arrears results are also to be announced today only. Out of all the papers, only one exam was canceled in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown that was executed across the country.

Meanwhile, the class 12 results for TN were impressive as well with a pass percentage of 92.34% and the girls managed to surpass the boys with a pass percentage of 94.80% and the guys had a pass percentage of 89.41% this year.

Meanwhile, schools and colleges are all shut until August 31, as has been issued by the Unlock phase 3 guidelines and a decision shall be taken thereafter considering the situation.
